Roman Blinds have been very popular recently. You can be really quite extravagant in your choice of fabrics as they use so little. There are some gorgeous embroidered silks on my website such as the Mandarin or Taibei, which has french knots and net incorporated in the pattern making this a truly luxurious fabric.

The dusky pink blind above is trimmed with cream glass beads along the bottom edge. This range of "Sapphire" silk comes in 150 different shades.

I would recomend interlining for silk blinds as this is a lightweight fabric which benefits from the extra layer of padding.
